Ragdoll coat grooming is very simple because the ragdoll coat is low shedding, almost non-matting, and very easily maintained. Therefore it is recommended to comb at least once a week to prevend matting.

Ragdolls are a very healthy race that doesn't need any special healthprecausions. Of course it's always best to buy your kitten from a registered breeder wich can give you the necessary garantees. Everey breeder needs to test their ragdolls for certain diseases like HCM, PKD and FIV.

Make sure you buy a large catbasket, a large litterbox and a scratching post, because a ragdoll grows 3 times bigger than the average cat.
